Hello, I am Jen, an amateur/freelance photographer based in Lakewood, Colorado. Photography was something I picked up as a talent in high school, and not long after, I made it a hobby. While in college, I had learned more about photography by taking courses to challenge my eye and to slow down my process of taking photos.
You can find my photography online and for my final project for Photography III, I made a photobook with photos I took during a three day span while up in Denver for the Colorado Rockies’ opening weekend and can be viewed and purchased on Blurb.
In Summer 2017, a good photographer friend – Ashley Tyler Studios – offered to let me shadow her to learn everything she has to offer about photography. After spending most of the summer thinking it over, I finally decided to accept the offer.
Outside of photography, I also have a hobby of graphic and web designing that began when I was only twelve years old. I have been in the world of web design – and the fansite world – since then and it’s something that I absolutely love to do. In the past few years, I have become very close with one of my celebrities and it was an honor when my fansite on him became his official site.
If you didn’t catch it from all the pictures I’ve taken at baseball games, I am a Colorado Rockies fan. Since I stopped playing softball – and dialed the band geek and choir nerd down – baseball became my life. There is nothing else in the world – actually, concerts are tied – that makes me happier than walking into the gates at Coors Field and watching baseball. And quite honestly, the reason I’m going into sport and performance psychology is because I love baseball and want nothing more than to help athletes to be at the top of their game mentally.
